I must apologize for being so slow to write and thank you and your band for your magnificent performance last weekend. You really couldn’t have been better – a wonderful playlist, great outfits and brilliant playing. You really made the evening. I do hope you all enjoyed it all.

Current calculations look as if we will make in excess of £70,000 which is thrilling. I am so pleased we have managed to make a significant contribution, particularly in a difficult financial climate. It is all down to the generosity of you and your band and the other musicians and donors. Nearly everything on the evening was donated – it just shows how strongly people feel about this cause.

Thank you again, more than I can say for all your generosity.
